Congresswoman Michelle Fischbach once again had the honor of nominating students to the U.S. Military Academy (USMA) in West Point, NY; the U.S. Naval Academy (USNA) in Annapolis, MD; the U.S. Air Force Academy (USAFA) in Colorado Springs, CO; and the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy (USMMA) in Kings Point, NY.
This year, Congresswoman Fischbach nominated six students for the service academies. If the students are accepted, upon their graduation at the academy, the cadets will earn a Bachelor of Science degree and become a commissioned officer in the U.S. military. The students would also serve a minimum of five years active-duty service.
“It is my honor to once again nominate extraordinary students from Minnesota’s Seventh Congressional District to the United State Service Academies,” said Rep. Fischbach (MN-07). “I am encouraged to see passionate young men and women who desire to serve our country. Their achievement is to be celebrated, and I look forward to seeing where their journey takes them as they continue to be leaders in their communities and our nation.”

Congresswoman Fischbach is nominating Lydia Oldenkamp of Alexandria to the U.S. Military and the U.S. Air Force Academies; Cheyenne Nyholm of Kimball to the U.S. Military, the U.S. Naval, and the U.S. Air Forces Academies; Ellie Gertken of Richmond to the U.S. Naval Academy; Hailey Ruhoff of Paynesville to the U.S. Military, the U.S. Naval, and the U.S. Air Force Academies; Mark Rabaey of Marshall to the U.S. Military, the U.S. Naval, and the U.S. Air Force Academies; and Caleb Fey of Edgerton to the U.S. Air Force Academy.
