Congresswoman Michelle Fischbach visited Hutchinson while she was touring the district in January. She stopped by Birthline of Hutchinson where she visited with staff on ways that the center provides help and resources to women, men, and families who are facing unexpected pregnancies. The U.S. House recently passed Congresswoman Fischbach’s legislation that allows for the use of TANF dollars to be available to support centers like these. The Supporting Pregnant and Parenting Women and Families Act prohibits states from discriminating against pregnancy resource centers and clarifies that it is allowable to use those funds for the centers.
Rep. Fischbach also visited Hutchinson Health to tour their recent renovations and see their plans for future expansions as well. She appreciated seeing the new technology they are using to better serve the patients. The Congresswoman is committed to promoting rural healthcare and will continue to closely monitor the implementation of the Rural Health Transformation Program (RHTP). This initiative is set to bring over $193 million to Minnesota in 2026 alone. She will work hand-in-hand with the Minnesota Hospital Association to cut through the red tape and ensure our rural providers receive every dollar they deserve to keep their doors open and their care patient-centered.
