Washington, D.C. - Today, the U.S. House of Representatives passed the Senate Amendment to H.R. 2617, the fiscal year 2023 omnibus appropriations package. Congresswoman Fischbach opposed the $1.7 trillion legislation.
"This legislation will do nothing to ease inflation, combat the crisis at the southern border, or stop the fentanyl epidemic plaguing this country,” said Rep. Fischbach. "Furthermore, Democrats had an entire year to pass bipartisan legislation. Instead, they waited until the last minute and worked mostly behind closed doors, skipping standard processes. With this amount of spending, it is unacceptable to handle the process so irresponsibly."
This appropriation bill provides government funding for Fiscal Year 2023.
