Washington, D.C. - Congresswoman Michelle Fischbach (MN-07) has been named the Rules Committee appointee to the House Budget Committee by Speaker Kevin McCarthy.

"For the last two years, Democrats have been on an irresponsible spending spree with taxpayer dollars, and I look forward to joining the Budget Committee to get this country back on track," said Rep. Fischbach. "I am honored Speaker McCarthy has entrusted me with a role on this crucial committee, and look forward to serving under Chairman Jodey Arrington as we work to restore fiscal sanity in Congress."

The House Budget Committee is responsible for building the annual budget resolution to create boundaries for Congress as it considers government spending bills. 

Rep. Fischbach has also been appointed to the Ways & Means Committee, the Rules Committee, and the Ethics Committee.
