Congresswoman Michelle Fischbach toured several Little Falls businesses during a Wednesday, July 30 visit, learning about the community’s aviation heritage, downtown shops and ongoing revitalization efforts.

At Lakes Area Aviation, Fischbach learned about the local flight school and the opportunities it provides to the area. With Little Falls being the boyhood home of aviator Charles Lindbergh, she also appreciated the community’s aviation legacy. While there, Fischbach took to the skies for an aerial view of the city.

Her next stops were downtown, where she visited with business owners and community leaders. She started at Reality Roasters, where she learned about locally roasted coffee beans, followed by a visit to Little Falls Bakery to meet with its owners. She also toured the renovated Falls Theatre, where she heard about the building’s history, and then stopped at Great River Arts to learn about the space and classes offered there.

Fischbach also visited the Shoppes of Little Falls, which features a variety of small businesses and vendors. Her tour concluded at Ciao Thyme, where she met with Mayor Greg Zylka and Phil and Susy Prosapio to discuss the growth and improvements made in the downtown district in recent years.

Fischbach said she is committed to helping rural communities thrive across Minnesota’s Seventh Congressional District.
