POET announced its support for U.S. House of Representatives’ Ways and Means Committee’s reconciliation tax package, praising the included extension of 45Z clean fuel production incentives.

“POET is pleased to see the House Ways and Means Committee include an extension of the 45Z clean fuel production incentives in its reconciliation package,” said Joshua Shields, POET’s Senior Vice President of Corporate Affairs. “The 4-year extension will provide our farmers and biofuel producers with much-needed certainty for implementing technologies and practices that are critical for accessing new and growing markets. This would not have been possible without U.S. Representatives Randy Feenstra (IA-04), Michelle Fischbach (MN-07), Adrian Smith (NE-03), and Darin LaHood (IL-16), champions on the Ways and Means Committee who advocated for provisions to support American agriculture and ethanol in this package.”
