Stefanik. They confirmed the importance of U.S.-Japan cooperation through exchanging their views.
On September 4 (Mon.), Nagamine Makoto, Parliamentary Vice-Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry, received a courtesy call from a Delegation of Members of the U.S. House of Representatives, comprising Elise Stefanik, Jim Himes, Jimmy Gomez, Joe Wilson, David Valadao, Jake LaTurner, Brad Finstad, Michelle Fischbach, Mike Flood, Laurel Lee, Zach Nunn, and Rudy Yakym.
Confirming the importance of Japan-US cooperation, Parliamentary Vice-Minister Nagamine and the delegation members exchanged views on the international economic situation, addressing non-market measures and economic coercion, trade related topics including rulemaking in the Indo-Pacific region, and Japanese companies' investment in the U.S. He also expressed his appreciation for U.S. support and understanding concerning Japan’s efforts on the ALPS treated water.
