In early August, students from local high schools participated in the Life Leadership Camp, an event organised by the MCCL. The students were equipped with the necessary skills to become effective leaders and had the opportunity to engage in enjoyable activities.

The impetus to effect change.

The annual pro-life summer camp has the objective of training the next generation of pro-life advocates and leaders. This year’s students were instructed in the following areas: abortion, prenatal development, the legislative process, the establishment of a pro-life club at school, and numerous other topics. The students were privileged to hear from a number of distinguished speakers, including Congresswoman Michelle Fischbach, State House Minority Leader Lisa Demuth, leaders of pregnancy care centres, and Emily Albrecht of the Equal Rights Institute, who demonstrated to the students how to present a compelling case for life and engage in constructive dialogue with others.

One student subsequently observed that the speakers had inspired them to become more involved. Another attendee stated: “I would like to offer my services at a pregnancy centre, should the opportunity arise.”

We would be delighted to welcome you to our next event.

Further details regarding the forthcoming Life Leadership Camp will be made available in due course on the website at mccl.org/camp. We would encourage parents and students to make a note of the date in their diaries.

As one student observed, the Life Leadership Camp experience was transformative.
