Washington, D.C. - This week, the House passed H.J. Res. 24 and H.J. Res. 26. These resolutions would repeal recent actions by the D.C. City Council that would have negative national consequences.

"D.C. wants to give illegal immigrants the right to vote in local elections and double down on their soft-on-crime agenda. Granting illegal immigrants the right to vote dilutes every lawful vote and their "Revised Criminal Code Act" eliminates mandatory minimums, reduces penalties for violent crimes, and bottles up courts that are paid for by the federal government," said Rep. Michelle Fischbach (MN-07). "Western Minnesota knows these efforts won't stay in Washington. If we do not take a stand on these issues here and now, these radical ideas will continue to spread across the country."
