ALEXANDRIA — U.S. Rep. Michelle Fischbach, R-Minnesota, was in Alexandria last week. She met with the leadership team at Alexandria Industries, which works with new technology to create new opportunities for manufacturing.
The group discussed availability of workforce in manufacturing and the taxes and mandates that dictate a lot of manufacturing businesses like Alexandria Industries, Fischbach said in an email to the newspaper.
The Congresswoman also stopped by Lincoln Elementary School. She spoke with Amy Borden’s third-grade class, where the students are studying civics and learning about the three branches of government.
Rep. Fischbach said she enjoyed meeting with the inquisitive students and answering their questions about government and being in Congress.
