House lawmakers, including Minnesota’s Brad Finstad and Michelle Fischbach, are asking the U.S. Government Accountability Office to complete a study on foreign investment of U.S. farmland and what that means for national security, trade and food security. A letter to the GAO sent over the weekend says foreign ownership and investment nearly doubled in the last 10 years. That includes the FuFeng corn wet mill project in Grand Forks, North Dakota. Read the letter.
