Washington, D.C. - Today, the U.S. House of Representatives voted on the Senate amendment to H.R. 5305, a bill to temporarily fund the government. In response, Congresswoman Michelle Fischbach (MN-07) issued the following statement:
“As I’ve said before, this bill highlights the Democrats’ inability to perform the basic function of passing a budget and funding the government for a full fiscal year. This constitutionally mandated role is where Congress’ focus and energy needs to be – not on pushing through hyper-partisan legislation that only serves to rally the radical Democratic base.
