WASHINGTON, DC - Today, Representative Michelle Fischbach (MN-07) released the following statement commemorating the fourth anniversary of the landmark Supreme Court decision in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization, which overturned Roe v. Wade.
As an original cosponsor of a newly introduced bicameral resolution marking this milestone, Representative Fischbach issued the following statement:
"Today, we look back on four years of lives saved and families strengthened. But our work is far from finished. We must continue to champion policies that protect our most vulnerable and ensure every mother and child has the care, compassion, and resources they need to thrive."
The resolution, which Representative Fischbach championed as an original cosponsor, anchors the pro-life movement in the nation's founding principles. The resolution officially establishes several key Congressional positions:
- It notes that the Supreme Court wrongly invented a Constitutional right to abortion in Roe v. Wade and notes the loss of millions of innocent unborn lives to that legal mistake.
- It commemorates the anniversary of the Dobbs ruling and celebrates the lives that have been and will be saved as a direct result of this landmark decision.
- It expresses strong Congressional support for policies that protect unborn life while reinforcing safety nets and support networks for mothers and their children.
Representative Fischbach remains dedicated to working alongside her colleagues in Congress to build a culture that values and protects human life at all stages.
